Not only was “Young and Beautiful” the lead single of Baz Luhrmann’s rendition of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s masterpiece,The Great Gatsby, but now has a official remix from the house star, Serge Devant. It’s a deeper take on the original, drowning you in its ambiance and tranquility. Its darker mood encapsulates the underlying emotions behind the tragedy of Gatsby, evoking a prominent sense of despair and loneliness that also radiates by the stories end. It’s no banger, but Devant’s remix is a terrific depiction of this timeless story. Give it a listen below and make sure to subscribe to his channel for when the mix becomes available!

Dutch mega-star Tiesto had some time while he was in Las Vegas to hang out with his personal idol and recent Daft Punk collaborator Giorgio Moroder. According to the Dutch DJ, Moroder stayed through Tiesto‘s three hour set at Hakkasan and is still partying hard at age 73. Speaking about the experience Tiesto remarked, ”He’s in his seventies and still rocking strong. We did shots together and it was fun to hang out together. I was honoured that he came actually.”
Besides pounding booze with Moroder, Tiesto took the opportunity to voice his opinion on Random Access Memories which Moroder helped work on… “It got so much attention because it’s so different and it’s an attitude album,” he says. “It’s cool to like Daft Punk. Even if you’re not into the song, as soon as you hear [“Get Lucky’”], you see all the cool people go, ‘Oh yeah, this is cool, that’s my song,’ and they don’t really even enjoy it.” He went on to say, “I’m destroying them now… Sorry Daft Punk“.
Personal opinion aside, Tiesto is planning on sitting down with Moroder soon, opening up the possibility of a future collaboration between the prolific artists. Obviously the 73 year old still has the energy to not only contribute to the musical portion of the scene but also the live party element as well, so it will be interesting to see what he still has in store.

Kat Von D clearly does not like privacy as she continues to rant about Joel Zimmerman aka Deadmau5 via Twitter. After Deadmau5 tried to clear his name of cheating on Kat Von D during their relationship, Kat has fired back with the responses below.

It’s official folks, Joel Zimmerman aka Deadmau5 and tattooed celebrity Kat Von D have ended their engagement. Taking to Twitter, Von D accused the Mau5 of infidelity, saying, “Cheating on your loved one is the most hurtful thing one could do.”
Unfortunately Kat Von D is no stranger to being cheated on, having dealt with an all too familiar situation with TV personality Jesse James. There has been no word from Zimmerman’s camp yet, but given the EDM superstar’s vocal nature on the internet it would be surprising if he declines to comment on this development.
In today’s celebrity obsessed society, short term engagements and marriages are all too common and it seems that Deadmau5 himself is no exception from this fast paced, frantic love game. One can’t help but feel sorry for Von D, but this just goes to show this is the nature of the beast. If you feel so inclined you can check out the breaking Tweets below.

Well damn what a surprise, although coming from Daft Punk, nothing is that surprising anymore. The remix of their very own Get Lucky is now available on Spotify. The full 10 minute and 33 second remix of their collaboration with Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers was announced not too long ago in their interview with Rolling Stone. Slated for a July 16th release, as a 3 track feature EP with the original, radio edit and remix. Columbia Records also revealed a short promo video that you can watch above as well.
